BEGIN BY CONSIDERING…
“What are my expectations from your automotive production agency?”
Perhaps you already have a clear vision in mind, and if so, that's excellent! Some of our clients arrive with a storyboard, locations, and talent prepared, simply seeking our execution expertise.
However, there are also clients who approach us with a core business issue, a problem that requires the right automotive marketing solutions. They recognize the necessity for automotive content but are uncertain about the specifics...In such situations, we bring our extensive expertise in automotive marketing strategies to the forefront.
With Drift you have an automotive production agency that excels in every aspect, from storyboarding and location scouting, to talent recruitment, filming, editing, and beyond.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS UNFOLD FROM BEGINNING TO END?
At the start of every automotive production project, we initiate by defining the overarching concept. Typically we start with a statement of intention, followed by a comprehensive storyboard.
We aim to begin creating the visual style early on. Next, we'll see if there's any scripting required. This process helps us establish a basic storyline and determine what props and materials will be necessary for the shoot.
INDIVIDUAL PHOTOSHOOT
Don’t need all the bells and whistles? looking for a simple photoshoot of your car? Need comprehensive photos to list your vehicle for sale? No problem we are here to help!
Our Individual photoshoots take around 3-4 hours. For listing photoshoots we help you choose the best location for your vehicle. You can expect to walk away with 200+ comprehensive photos; start-up, driving, walk around videos, and much more.
LOCATION STRATEGIZING
Location is crucial in all automotive production marketing efforts. Do we need a fixed location or maybe a studio? Some things to consider - if we opt for public roads will we need to close them? Or, will we be able to work in safe conditions on public roads?
Choosing a location involves ensuring access to amenities such as restrooms, eateries, fuel stations, or electric vehicle chargers for EV shoots.
These factors may necessitate booking additional sites, securing permits, and handling logistics – tasks we manage as your automotive marketing partner.
SHOOT DAYS
Once we finish the ever critical pre-production phase comes everyones most anticipated part, the shoot day. On this day, depending on the scale of your production, there will be various team members carrying out specific tasks. All of these tasks will be methodically scheduled beforehand.
Even with the best plans, things can still happen. Maybe talent is stuck in traffic, or a vehicle is not running properly. Whatever unforeseen circumstance may arise, Drift prides itself with the ability to think critically on the go.
POST-PRODUCTION
With the shoot day(s) complete, it’s time to move to post-production. We will agree on a specific timeline to meet your project needs. It’s important to keep in mind any “go-live” dates to ensure we deliver your content on time.
In this phase you will receive drafts, and have the ability to send revision notes. It’s import to communicate your timeline so we can edit and return each draft efficiently. Even small changes require significant time to complete, so be sure to give us all your notes in one go.
*Things to note - The Scope of Work contract will have an agreed upon amount of revisions, prior to production.
FORMATTING & DELIVERABLES
It’s crucial for us to identify where your consumers will view your content. Instagram generally uses a portrait aspect ratio of 4:5 or 9x16. Youtube or television will use a 16x9 widescreen aspect ratio, or even wider if that is the style you are after.
Creating a list of desired final deliverables, and understanding the various mediums and formats, is imperative to a successful production.
